The most majestic of all animals, the lion, is here in the aptly named ‘Face To Face’ limited edition by much loved artist Colin Banks.
Although you are aware it is a painting and slight caricature of the big cat, there is something vivid and ‘alive’ about the animal & of course his piercing gaze.
I am in awe as to how Colin blends coloured paints (yellows, golds & browns) and fine strokes of white to create the Lion’s mane, and of course the beautiful aqua coloured eyes!
