Two Hearts One Love by Doug Hyde

New for mid April 2016, this lovely heart warming image from the nation's favourite naive artist.

This is one of two new releases, the sister piece is 'Happy Ever After.' Taking a cool blue evening background, Doug places two of his characters arm in arm on a green hill; above them are 2 giant heart shape balloons that fill the sky with wonderful red hues.

The stand out theme here is the heart shaped balloons in the sky & Doug of course reminds is that love is the most important feeling in the world!

Doug returns to the simple scene of people and a sky’s filled with giant hearts. Doug very often paints giant hearts in his limited editions prints - 'I Love You This Much II’ (2014) and the more recent ‘Lots Of Love’ (2015), come to mind.

This is a naïve, simple and yet beautifully formed painting: take a purple and a blue clothed Hyde characters, link them arm in arm, place them on a green hill under an evening sky and finally top it off with 2 giant sized (heart shaped) balloons – it all comes together perfectly.
