Individually, they are stunning modern impressionist artworks and can be hung and enjoyed as unique (individual) marvels on your wall!
Simon is very much a modern abstract painter and some commentators have named the genre: 'lyrical abstraction,' largely because Kenny sees each composition as conveying deep personal emotion - he even goes so far as to call each painting a: 'living being.'
Other current artists in this genre from our portfolio include: Craig Foord and Alison Johnson (do contact us for latest availability on the pair), Craig in particular uses very similar colour palette to Simon's trademark: Red, Orange, Blue, Yellow & Purple paints.
The end of the month will see a new Simon Kenny triptych limited edition release. A Triptych is a three-windowed (or three sectioned) artwork and this will be Simon's first - we are so excited to see it! - 10th October 2020
The popular limited edition 'Everlasting' circular edition now has less than 10 copies left with his publisher, as we await news of future Kenny limited editions! Simon's Originals, limited editions and commissions (do get in touch) have proved inspirational for customers, bringing emotive joy and hope in what has been testing Covid19 times. - August 27th 2020
This month sees Simon's very first 'circular' painted and framed limited edition called 'Everlasting' and his unique painting style works brilliantly with this shape; this is his first foray into limited editions since 2018, a tribute to how well his original art has been selling in galleries. - 17th January 2020
The artist is always looking for new ways to connect with his audience & their emotions, so its unsurprising that he would also experiment with the shape of his canvases (in this case of 'Everlasting,' an inventive circular form), or the finish of the frame; everything about Simon's work declares itself fresh, stylish and evocative and he overwhelmingly wants you to 'connect' with the art.
**A video featuring a selection of Simon's paintings:
Dublin born Simon Kenny is now one of the most collectable & celebrated contemporary artists in the UK and I am sure you have seen his canvases in discerning gallery windows near you, often with distinct purple & mauve colours. Like many modern published artists, his talent was already established with some merit, having 'broken' the US art market, before signing with UK publisher Demontfort Fine Art in 2013.
Selling his original artwork steadily for four years and developing his collector base, 24th April 2017 would see Simon launch his first series of limited editions from Demontfort Fine Art publishers, 'Infinite Impressions' - his Debut Collection was a huge success in Galleries nationwide, a name very apropos to the artist's work!
Simon feels his artwork is a reflection of his personality, imbuing a lot of thought & raw emotion into each canvas and believing that each is a living entity. Interestingly, his emotional state will affect how he creates his next piece: which paints he will mix, which size brush or instrument he will use on the board and how much time he will invest in the composition.
**A look into the world of Simon Kenny, his studio & canine friends!:
Unsurprisingly, Simon would like you to connect with his limited editions in a visceral way and enable you to recall past experiences such as place you were at or an emotion you felt.
The Irish artist genre has been called ‘lyrical abstraction’ and a progressive Turner, in tribute of to William Turner (1775 - 1851) one of England's greatest painters and coincidentally he himself was both a printmaker and a painter/watercolourist.
