Doug Hyde was born in Bristol in 1972 and his artistic talent became visible from an early age. During his school and college years he concentrated on the technical side of drawing and painting but after graduating he chose to become a professional artist.
Hyde's use of pastels applied with fingers, thumbs, wrists and other body parts, allows him more freedom to explore artistic ideas and makes his paintings more diverse and unique than that of his fellow artists. Doug often paints huge original artworks, which are then scaled down to produce his signed limited editions.
Doug Hyde finds inspiration either through his own emotional experiences and responses or through the observation of others; whether it is the overhearing of a phrase, the look of happiness on someone's face or even a love seen for another person. When experiencing such things, Hyde has the mood-driven ability to immediately visualise a picture in his mind. It is through the immense creative talent of this artist that his visualisations are brought to life via heart-warming images of: original paintings, limited edition prints or through sculpture.
...We have a Hyde teaser email going out this week, ahead of the official launch of his latest collection.
Without giving too much away, the fabulous new Hyde collection comprises 7 limited editions prints and 1 sculpture.
The email invitation to view Doug's new images for his Spring Tour lands will be coming soon and features one of the new images - entitled: 'Every Kind of Love' which is a limited edition of 195 copies.
