Sue Hemming was born in Birmingham in 1956. From an early age is drawn and painted, as most children do, but as she did matured his creative instinct. Having originally trained as a secretary, she worked in a bank for two years before moving into the family business. She was there until 1985, when her first child was born.
She had married Nigel Hemming in 1982, but it is an artist's wife inhibits their creativity in the first. However, very soon, a blunt "call" led to a whole new range of arts and crafts. In 1998, Sue and her husband set up his own publishing business "Ediciones Nigel Hemming." Because of contractual commitments elsewhere, Nigel was unable to self-publish their work immediately, the company began with a set of four pictures by Sue naive cat.
Over the next 18 months he had ten other printed images such that all enjoyed success. However, in mid-1999, as Nigel became free to self-publishing grew satisfied with the work place, a feeling that you are not the true creative fulfillment to be desired. Thus began a journey of discovery! What has emerged from this search is quite surprising, a style and technique that was both vibrant and exciting. What's more, it is very unusual and distinctive, perhaps best described as "semi-abstract", which have elements of both Cubism and colorful movement on one chip.
The abstract style has had its true meaning something corrupt in time and these days tends to be used to describe any form of art that do not conform to a more traditional format. For this reason, its use can sometimes deter people appreciate certain "extracted" the images. Despite Sue bold, surprising and unusual, their work is still very accessible. A deep love for animals, especially cats, has been the inspiration for much of his work. Furthermore, his sense of humor, has resulted in truly imaginative titles, which adds another dimension to each image.
Sue now lives in Stourbridge, West Midlands, with her husband and two sons, James and Elizabeth. Sue Hemming is a member of the Art Guild of Commerce.
