PAUL KAVANAGH

Training Officer Art for me has always been sporadic and not very diverse. After being offered a place at the university of art that I chose instead to do a degree in History and Education find time for my art through a subsidiary, while the courses for students. When I started painting professionally I have chosen to attend classes with Fred Cuming academic in order to develop my own skills related to the use of colors, delineation, and the ability to create an atmosphere within the painting. These elements, in my workplace, have remained constant.

During the 1970s and 1980s he developed successful relationships with two galleries in Kent which resulted in a series or commissions including the production of a series of paintings by Thomas Howell ias in London, C.T.I in Dusseldorf, and for a New York company losses. Throughout this period I have also frequently exposed in several concerts; And then by the 1990s began to exhibit exclusively at the gallery La Linda Blackstone. With this gallery of paintings have proved successful in several art fairs including Manchester, Dublin and Chelsea in the last year, and in September are explained in the invitation only show in Cannes. Recently I was approached by Washington Verde preparation for the publication of some of my paintings.

More than anything else, it appears the web of human relationships that are established ideas forward. Couples: talking, smiling together, which is absorbed in each other, kissing, enjoy their own company. States of mind vary, but are generally optimistic, ideas, the future is bright, resolutions are. Narrative is often an intrinsic part of the picture, the paintings tell a story, a bit of a scene, leaving the viewer to follow the trail alone. And within these descriptions women are often the most important.

Equally important and equally inspiring is the context in which the paintings evolve. Paris, with its distinctive architecture of the cafeteria and the boulevard, provides a kind of closing the establishment where fragments of buildings, and the light within them, helping to create a special atmosphere: a brewery half illuminated, as seen from the rain soaked to the streets, the twilight of the times Scene of the shadows and reflection. It is a reflection of my long love affair lived with the city of artists.
