Cyril was born in 1951 and grew up in Shoeburyness, a small village in the east of England. As a child, who spent many hours happily in the company of her grandmother, a great storyteller that merged reality and fantasy in his fascinating stories. These stories inspired his early work, and traces of fantasy can still be found in his paintings of granite houses were clustered around the small passageways refuge ports.
He went on to graduate from Southend Art College, and tried to establish himself as a professional artist. Although Cyril had enjoyed drawing and painting from an early age, he found that he was struggling to create the work that he is satisfied with; It was finally decided to retrain and with a successful career as a surveyor for a number of years. Then, in 1993, after a move to the South West, he returned to painting full-time only in line with their own creativity.
Cyril employs a distinctive palette of acrylic on board; Inspired by the granite in the local landscape and architecture that merges muted roses with green and blue and gray, the identification of the hottest colors in the stone. His opinion is the alternative chosen one, looking back on the land from the sea.
