Carol was born in Lancashire in 1961 and studied art in Brighton. After working as an illustrator in a variety of projects that finally decided to dedicate a full-time career fine artist. Now based in Surrey, which paints a study in his home, and specializes in dramatic and humorous portraits of animals.
Carol County travels to fairs as a source of inspiration and often accosts dog walkers when you see a dog that you would like to paint. Due to the nature of their work (or rather the nature of his sitters), which tends to make extensive use of the photographs that feels better capture the individual identity of the animal in question. These allow you to achieve an informal setting, composed painting that is both a realistic picture and a single distinctive interpretation.
Carol prefers to work in oil on canvas. Excess thin layers of oil paint that accumulates slowly image, cropping up on the fact as to maximize their impact and present against a background of solid colors. She uses the medium of oil, and that adds to the depth each of the images, which enabled him to describe the texture of an animal's coat, the shadows of their muscle tone, and especially his personality that it believes it can be transmitted through the expression in his eyes.
Carol's work has been exhibited extensively throughout the UK and Europe and he has done an impressive variety of commissions for individuals and businesses. In 2006 she was awarded the first prize in the prestigious competition DeMontfort New Artist.
"I love painting, which came from live animals to make me a pleasant experience. I like to look for something else. For me it is not a good portrayal of a simple painting: I like to take an alternative approach, bringing the spectator Face to face with wildlife and breathing hopefully create an interactive experience, a dialogue."
