Alan Ingham interests have always included the drawing and painting, which for many years had to blend into the background of your busy life.
At the tender age of thirteen Alan left his home lifetime in Yorkshire to join the Navy through the R.N located at Dartmouth College. Soon he majored in hydrographic survey (graph doing). This led him around the world, leaving little room for the creation of a cozy family life, but rewarding him with the hand of a cartographer and highly skilled eye of a surveyor. Their longing for their homeland was the factor that will determine the rest of their lives.
In his 30 that he left the Army behind him and start using their experience to educate students to become the hope of success in the oil and gas extraction. After writing two educational textbooks for the course, the painting once again became an important part of the artist recently found free time. The end of the 1970s saw his watercolors were widely reproduced on calendars and greeting cards. His work became even more popular in the nation after the regular exposure of their original works.
1984 was the key year for Alan Ingham was installed as his wife, Rose, Gloucestershire and became a full-time artist. His life saw frequent trips to gather material for future projects and long periods in his study. The old slogan from the book "Not a single day too long, no work too hard" still valid, but now more than ever, held a certain pleasure and joy that was tested only briefly before.
His original, now numbering more than 1200 and is in private and corporate collections worldwide. The success has come in many forms 1996 saw the publication of his book "Under a sky Watercolor" and the artist's limited editions have been very popular, especially its' geographical portfolios, which hold the character and uniqueness of the individual regions in the UK Isles.
