The artwork of Doug Hyde has proved, in recent years, a force to be reckoned with. Having sell out tours not only in his UK homeland but also in Japan, Doug Hyde was named the most popular selling UK artist in 2005 by the Fine Art Trade Guild.
Despite being an International phenomenon, artist Doug Hyde’s feet have remained firmly on the ground; he has never lost touch with reality and leads a life steered towards the things that are most important to him, such as: love, family and a fantastic optimism for life.
These aspects to Doug’s life are translated so wonderfully into his art. His simplistic naive little characters, bring out the child, the romantic or the optimist in all of us. From one painting to another, his limited edition prints spread simple messages full of sentiment that simply catches your heart.
